Form Study - Patterns

I am going to describe a pattern which I am sure you all recognise. How often have you backed a horse that looks like a good solid bet only to see it run very badly and the race being won by a fourteen to one outsider? The chances are, the good thing you bet on was not suited to today’s conditions and the fourteen to one outsider had a pattern which indicated it was set to run a big race. Most horses only run at their best when running on certain ground, certain tracks or type’s of tracks, certain distances, a long or short rest period and certain grades. To gather all this information on a horse is very laborious, but well worth it in the end as you will end up with horses with real chances in a race. There is a tool in the member’s area which enables the user to filter out all the above conditions and I would recommend people to use it. A classic example is on the all weather during the winter months. You will see the same horses contesting races on five different tracks . At first glance, all  tracks seem similar and the form should carry over from one track to another, but this is not the case and it is a real ‘Horses for Courses’ setup. All through the winter there are amazing betting opportunities on offer every day, and anybody with the pattern information in their armoury has a big advantage over the game. To make real money in horse racing you need to know what pattern your selection fits into.
